2 years ago, I had laser treatment to remove a cataract in each eye as the world seemed to be getting rather dim! This was under the NHS.The efficiency and kindness of the staff led by the highly qualified ex-Moorfields Consultant Opthalmologist, Mr Shah, his wife and his wonderful team was first rate. The results of the surgery appear to be perfect and am now safe to drive again. Soon after, my wife had similar treatment at Yeatman Hospital. Yes, there are issues with the dreaded Discharge Team and let’s not mention the serious problems with blue lighting to Yeovil hospital across the country border… but that doesn’t take away any stars from your team. Wonderful lovely helpful people at minor injuries, husband was triaged from 111, within the hour, had treatment and was back at accommodation to enjoy christmas, very welcoming lovely people. Easy to find and access, not far to walk from carpark for mobility.
My Mother in Law is recovering from a broken hip at nearly 90. She hit the Jackpot when she was assigned a bed here to rehabilitate. This place is well run, the staff are dedicated, they are caring they are everything an elderly frail person needs. We are in awe of the facilities and this all covered by the NHS it puts your faith back into what the NHS do well care for vulnerable Sick people who are unable to care for themselves.
