I rececently had to have the transmission in my Cadillac rebuilt. It had over 144,000 miles on it and just wore out. A local dealership quoted me a price over \$3000! However, a friend of mine referred me to Gary Yates at Yates Transmission to let him check the transmission and see what he thought. Gary told me that it did need to be rebuilt, however, not only was the price less than half of what the dealer wanted, Garys price was also \$320 less than a quote I received from another transmission shop. The owner told me the transmission would be done in 3 days. My wife called everyday after that and he gave us an excuse at the same time saying it would be ready today. Well after a week of this, i visited his shop. I over heard him screaming at another customer on the phone. I told him who I was and out came all the excuses from I have a 3yr old to missing parts, but again said he would have it done the next day, well the next day came, I went to the shop, and he was closed, so I called him, and he gave more excuses.
