Gave him a $1500 retainer fee and he did absolutely nothing. After contacting BBB, he sent me an email stating he would return the fee. It was performative, never sent.
DO NOT HIRE HOWARD YATES, IF YOU WANT YOUR CASE TO GO FORWARD. Had attorney's in Pope County tell me Howard was great. He might have been YEARS prior but certainly not in my case. He flat out lied, when ask if mama's handwritten will would hold up in court before hiring him. He assured me it would - knowing it would NOT! I didn't use him personally but my close family did and he did nothing for them after being paid a lot of money. I would get results before I hand any money to him.

Mr. Yates does what everyone says he does: charges $500 just to look into how he can help, then gives bad advice to do as little as possible. He is a waste of money. Don't hire him even if he is the last attorney left.
