Gilbert Yates began his funeral service career in Coeur d'Alene during the 1930's and founded the Yates Funeral Home in 1952 after graduating from college and serving with the U.S. Navy during W.W. Yates did an amazing job with our family funeral. I would trust their staff to handle any spectrum of situations with empathy, respect, and professionalism. Eli and his staff communicate like professionals about what is going on and constantly inform family members. They seem to really read a room and a situation perfectly. Nobody wants to make a living being there for other people’s sad events every day, but Eil seems to be a natural.

Chris from Yates was the absolute best person to help a close friend. He came to the home and was friendly, light hearted, and we all shared more laughs than tears. The staff at Yates Funeral Home went above and beyond in helping my family honor Dad. Our Dad's death, funeral and graveside services all took place in Lewiston, Idaho. Although Lewiston is 120 miles from Coeur d'Alene, Dad's service was perfect. We highly recommend Eli and his staff to assist you with your funeral needs. From all the Fairfields, thank you!
