Best pies ever
We go there roughly every 6 months or so usually on the way back from the GC theme parks. The pie crusts are crunchy, the pies themselves are heavier than the average roadside pie shop and the price about the same as most bakery lunch size pies. The important trend to watch here is the reduction in actual protein to filler with some such as the tradie and the curry beef/chicken noticeably filled with starchy filler. Excellent Steak & Pepper pie, the hot chip looked good too
Pies aren't as good as they used to be, more quality needed for the price. Called in for lunch with family, had Pies and individual deserts. The Steak,Bacon and Cheese was okay but could use more internal cheese. The mushy peas and mashed potato could be heated a little more to compliment the pie. The outdoor seating area is a little uninviting. The bin provided need more regular emptying.
Grossest pies around, its basically theme park food. Pies are not what they used to be when i was a kid. The pastry is foul, thick, and nasty. The best part is the crusty bit on top, id recommend you throw the rest of the pie out. The apple pies are like a clag glue filling of chemical based shit combined with pure flour/concrete mix for the pastry that leaves a horrible film and residue in your mouth.
