We hadn't visited for around 10 years. We stopped for lunch. I ordered the chunky beef pie, hubby had chicken pie. We felt that both were underwhelming. My chunky pie had no chunks of meat - ripped off. I want to see chunks of real meat, not course mince. Plus gravy around meat very plain and not very tasty. Chicken pie was bland. Tried the famous old-style pie here and it felt like stepping back in time 🥧The place has a calm, relaxing vibe, especially on a clear and breezy day. Most importantly, the pies are delicious and worth the price. Definitely a spot to stop by whenever passing through. The place also has convenient parking and clean restrooms.
