I used to work with Dr. Yataco and I have seen him take patients at the last minute, on his day off, and I even worked with him on a day that we had already closed but as he walked out, he saw someone in distress and took him right in to be seen. I have even witnessed him go so far as to drive a patient home as well as drive to the hospital to be with a patient!
