This doctor diagnosed me with Crohn’s disease but wanted a colonoscopy every year for no reason. Then told me I don’t have active crohns when I was still coming to her with pain at my appointments. I was put on Humira and was threatened that they wouldn’t fill my Humira prescription unless I came in for a colonoscopy. Horrible communication, Horrible experience. Don’t not recommend!!
Please try to avoid this place if possible. I got billed over $600 for a teledoc appt (they billed my insurance for 45+ min visit even though it was less than a 20 min phone call) I tried calling billing and said too bad and to file a dispute with my insurance. Also my procedure got canceled a day and a half before, but they let me know past 5pm so the day was wasted to search for another provider since it was so close to year end. Terrible! The doctor recommended recommended the use of pill like device with a camera to assist in diagnosing a lower GI issue. I went to a university hospital in Chicago for a 2nd opinion, and they said that if I had taken her advise there was a extremely high possibility of a sever blockage requiring emergency surgery. After continuing to go to the facility downtown, I have never felt better. While the time with her is brief, her nurses and PA is very responsive. I use mychart app and get sameday responses to my emails. She has always been kind and listens to understand my problems/concerns.
I had seen the doctor 2 yrs ago & liked her, however, I did not get any answers as to my medical issues nor answers to why I was having extreme weight loss and could not eat. Yes, I was advised to have a test done, which I did & it showed that I had a blockage. She seemed to think it was not a concern and things were left at that.
