I visited this hospital last year after twisting my ankle. As someone without Medicare coverage, I made the decision to stay and get it checked based on the price I was advised on the day. However, I was shocked to receive a call the next day saying I would be charged double that amount. I was told this was because “staff wouldn’t know about prices,” which is incredibly frustrating—patients should be able to trust the information given by staff.
