sold us more service then we needed & not forthcoming – Our family is new to the Bay Area. I went to the closest to us shop - Yarnell's Auto Service for my 2006 Prius’ oil change. They recommended additional service & said the car will be ready to be picked up by 4pm the same day. Later in the afternoon I got a call that my car wont be avail for a pickup the same day because their parts supplier could not ship the required soon enough. Takes the worry out of auto repair – I've been going to Yarnell's since the late 80's. It's a clean shop that's had many of the same mechanics and service personal the entire time. I've recommended the shop to many male and female friends who are Toyota owners and they've been happy as well. My wife would only look at a Toyota for her new car because she didn't want to go to another garage. Not the least expensive shop around, but a bit less than the dealer.
Best repair shop I've ever dealt with – I trust Yarnell's with any and all repairs I need to make to my car. They are absolutely honest and eager to help out in any way they can. I even talked with one of the mechanics for half an hour about my girlfriend's car, and he helped me to figure out whether and how she had been overcharged at another shop for her 60k maintenance.
