After going through 3 other speech therapists in 3 long years and making no progress, I had little hope that anyone could help my 5 year old son, who is diagnosed with autism and was non-verbal with the exception of a few sounds. My son who has a diagnosis of verbal and oral apraxia as well as autism was nonverbal (with very few sounds) at 4 and a half when we first started working with Jennifer. Jennifer's therapy is direct and fun for my son and she was able to wake up his mouth. After only a month he has begun making more sounds and has started the beginning of word approximations. Jennifer of Yardley Speech & Lang. was great to work with. When she first met our son, his speech was way behind what would be expected of him at age 2. After working with Jennifer in personal, one-on-one sessions, his language skills improved to match those of other children his age. Jennifer's approach is fun and never a chore. My son looked forward to the time he spent with "Mrs. N.". We are very happy with the results of our son's speech therapy and highly recommend Yardley Speech & Lang.
