Yardgoods is like a hidden treasure. They offer garment fabrics that can't be found anywhere else in Maine, plus quilting cotton, home dec material, sewing machines and all the notions you would ever need and an attached and marvelously stocked yarn shop. The yarn shop has patterns and project ideas at every turn. The whole place is just an inspiration and you might not expect to find so many lovely gems if you were just driving past. If you go to Waterville stop in!
I spent 2 hours or so on the phone with one of the women trying to get a problem settled with my Designer Diamond. Very good help though the machine has shown itself to be defective, I fear.
My friends and I had so much fun at the Yard goods center today, Freebys galore and the best yarn for miles around ! Now I'm Gung how about learning to knit. What a great place this is!
