Dr. John Yap has been my family doctor for many years. He’s a wonderful doctor and takes the time to sit and listen to my issues.
One time I went into the optometrist next door. After the examination she said that I had high blood pressure. Yap ‘a office called saying he wanted to see me. He had been treating me for this for many years without taking my blood pressure for years. When I asked about this he said they had high tech equipment. All I wanted from him was “last time you saw me you complained about such and such. How’s that going?” He would kick me out after a 9 minute examination. Avoid this Quack like the plague.
Dr. Yap took over my Dad's practice many years ago. Dr. Yap is thorough and patient and I rarely wait more than a few minutes either side of my scheduled appointment.
Cares more about showing off infront of his UBC students, than caring about his patients. Down hill ever since he moved to his new office and lost the best caring receptionist. She had the empathy that he is lacking.
