Food is incredible, and it's a great place to take someone to lunch who has never been, they usually love it.
I had an amazing experience. My server was Allie, and she did an excellent job. The food was delicious and came in a wonderfully generous portion size. The lamb skewer I got had a depth of flavor and came with some of the best vegetables and a buttery side of rice. My primary desire as I leave the restaurant is a desire to return.
Very disappointing experience, especially for a restaurant celebrating 35 years. We were initially very impressed. Yanni, the owner, was friendly and welcoming when we arrived and even gave us a complimentary ouzo shot for their 35th anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly. This was our first time at an authentic Greek restaurant and we were not disappointed. We both ordered dishes we had never heard of but sounded good and they were both perfect. The portions were really big and full of flavor. The service was also great, including the owner coming around to introduce himself and make sure we were having a good time and he provided shots of some kind of Greek liquor which was a fun little touch. We love supporting local restaurants and we'll definitely be back to Yanni's. Opa!
