A Park of Intangibles – OK, so Yankee Stadium doesn't have the widest aisles and the food is overpriced. What other ballpoark has Monument Park? Where is the grass greener? Who has a more professional PA announcer? Here, atmosphere rules!
my church – as a non-religious person, this is as close to heaven as i can imagine. the history, the moments - it's all incredible - unless you're a red sox fan!
New York's Field Of Dreams – Pure baseball heaven. The Shrine at 161st is a must see for the baseball fan. Out of my top 5 parks I put Yankee Stadium 1st with Wrigley a close 2nd. The fans are the best in baseball, even those bleacher creatures who I enjoy sitting with for only 8 bucks. The neighborhood has gotten much better for 1st time visitors. Take the #4 train from the city (Manhattan) or the D. If you love beer at a ball game drink before you go in if you have bleacher seats. And take the monuments tour before the bal... read more
yankees boo – Not the best stadium for century 21st. Sense of baseball but lacks realism of today's world
P.M.G.! – It is the New York Yankees, I think everyone as heard about this place. I just wanted to add it to my list. When you walk into Yankee Stadium for the first time, it is like walking into a movie set.
Best Stadium Ever – I have noticed many reviewers mentioning how other teams have more attractions at their stadium, I could only imagine that this is to fill the void created by the second class team playing on the field. Also the stadium in not in that bad of a neighborhood and parking is very simple. The intensity of the fans adds to the whole experience and who ever said that Shea stadium is better than Yankee stadium should be shot. On a side note Boston is a nice city (I have never been to Fenway so I can't comment on ... read more
Baseball capitol of the World! – If you're a fan of baseball, you MUST come to The Stadium! It's the modern equivilent of the Roman Colliseum. So many of baseball's greatest moments happened here, and greatest players played here. ALL OTHER STADIUMS ARE MINOR LEAGUE!
Yankee Fan – Come to a game and experiance the fans love of the game. Experience a landmark. I haven't taken the tour but it must be fun, seeing the clubhouse, etc. Don't miss Memorial park (open before games). Easy to get to by subway. Note: trains are sometimes crowded going to the game and are definately after the game. I usually wait for the first crush to leave before going to the subway. They do run more trains when the game ends so the wait is usually very short. Food expensive & so, so (bring your own).
memories last a lifetime – From the old to the new, the New York Yankees have always been a great time to create memories with friends and loved ones. You cant go wrong when chatting a game with your hands full with beer and food and your eyes peeled on the field waiting for history to happen.
