good place I love this place and food was good...very good..the ginger salad good and the sushi I loved it a little pricy but good food and sushi is a little pricy anyway..
I don't normally(ever) write reviews, but this place was very good. I went to Yamato with a friend who is big on sushi. I read a couple of reviews and was less than jazzed about going, but he insisted it was good and that anyone can write those things.That is why I decided to write a review. I know sushi and the first thing you try is the tamago(egg nigiri). Most places use frozen pre-packaged egg omelet. I've been to many restaurants, and Yamato stands out because of it's decoration. I was quite pleased at first, but once the food arrived, I knew I was probably going to give this place one more shot. The seafood had a smelly taste to it. It wasn't as fresh as it looked. I'm a huge fan or Japanese food, and I'm proud to say that I know it well. Lots and lots of exceptionally good food! The service is usually very good and the portions are huge! If you like sushi, steak,or chicken this is the place to go!
