Takes forever to be seen
We were very happy with our hospital stay overall. The doctors and nurses took great care of us. That said, there was one moment that really bothered me. On April 5th during first shift on the 9th floor, I got lost trying to find my way as a brand new dad, just a couple hours after my daughter was born. I set down her empty carriage for a second, and one of the MAs said, “You got a baby in there? Why are you throwing the baby down like that?” while others laughed. apparently they don’t have enough patients because they are serving moldy hamburger buns in the atrium cafeteria. besides that, the hospital has a nice atrium to take a break in while you wait to see your loved one.
The worst hospital experience I’ve ever had. I’ve never had to go to the hospital and get out of my bed physically to go track down a nurse to remind them of my medication for pain. I rang the red bell that kept ringing and ringing and no one responded. They admitted me to the hospital and I stayed in the ED overnight because they didn’t have enough room so clearly they’re understaffed. The most unreal, unbelieve excuse for a hospital with an "Ivy League" name. I expect EXCELLENCE. The people from the front desk, to the nurses, to all staff are just so rude and dismissive. I haven't interacted with ONE person who actually cares about my mother or how to help me. My mother came in for GALLSTONES. She has now been there FOUR NIGHTS because they keep postponing her surgery to remove her gallbladder. Also delivering her meals 4 HOURS LATE DAILY.
