Do not buy chicks from here. We are very experienced at raising chickens and turkeys. So far, this year alone, we have lost 6 of 15. I understand that a little attrition is to be expected, but over 33%, in one week? That is ridiculous. I will never buy birds from here again.
RecommendedWe come here every month to stock up on dog food. The employees have our bags of food and a box of dog cookies ready to go as soon as they see us. My dogs always get treats from the ladies at the registers. Really, really nice people.
We bought 6 great healthy chicks from here this year that are healthy and thriving. We also get all our chicken feed and supplies here. They are always friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful.
I do not recommend purchasing chicks here this year (2017). We have raised chicks for several years in a row so we are familiar with the process. We have always purchased ours elsewhere but this year decided to go to the Co-op and purchase five chicks and planned to go back the next week to pick up more. Within three days, more than half the chicks were dead.
