I made a reservation on the way down for the same night. The kids at the reservation desk took forever, then to find out my reservation was for the next night. They said they couldn't help me, but tried to book me again at a much higher rate and didn't know if I could get a refund. Said I booked through a 3rd party, but when I called the same number I booked through, it was the same kid. Very shady. Filing a credit card dispute and finding another place to stay.

Let just I will be returning here. I love the location. It was literally a 5 minute walk to the beach. They have lots of local shops and restaurants in the immediate area. The staff is amazing. I was greeted by Raymond the second the doors open. Super friendly, funny and attentive. I had an easy check with Brittany at the front desk. She pays attention to deals and assisted with all of my request. She is very knowledgeable and good at what she does. There’s also a restaurant onsite with a beautiful pool. Full disclaimer: I am currently a guest at the Sands Harbor at the time of this review. So please be patient and read it in its entirety. I checked in on 9/9/2026. I was a little surprised by the additional fees charged at check-in—resort fee, $75 per day for miscellaneous, and mandatory $20-25 per day for parking. That said, after the hotel staff explained the reason for said charges to me, I understood and moved forward without incident. The location was great. Staff was friendly. The hotel has a cool retro feel however- the room has old school vertical blinds. Half were broken or missing so lots of light comes in at night and it was hard to sleep. The shower also would randomly start blasting scalding hot water. The restaurant/bar closed at 9 which felt very early. I would not stay here again. We actually planned to stay for 2 nights but we tried to cancel our second night (since the first night was so bad).
