I had a very poor and frustrating experience with the management of this student accommodation. Before moving out, I approached reception to clarify whether the cleaning fee was actually compulsory, as my room was left in excellent condition. Instead of receiving a clear and professional explanation, the staff member (an Asian woman seated near the parcel lockers) responded in a dismissive and confrontational manner. Absolutely terrible management and unprofessional staff. I strongly advise all students to avoid this place. Management tries to force unjustified 'lockout' and 'lost key' fees without any proof. When I clearly returned the keys and asked them to check the reception CCTV to verify, they completely ignored my request and just kept sending threatening emails to pressure me into paying.
