About this business

I was very impressed. The food was super flavorful. Every dish was unique and had its own blend of flavors. Recommend the crab rice and the mochi dumplings.

My husband and I were visiting Charleston and were able to have a quick lunch here. We absolutely loved it! My husband has been to Japan so we always look for more authentic Asian restaurants. This one gave us flavors we haven’t had in the US. There wasn’t a lot of people there when we went so not sure if it’s an underrated gem or just a gem! Highly recommend.

I have been to Xiao Bao many times and every time I go, I want to love it. However, the quality of the food is inconsistent. Sometimes, it is wonderful, and sometimes, it is lackluster and greasy. It can be rather expensive and some of the servings are small, although it is not clear which ones will be small when ordering. This makes the inconsistencies in quality extra disappointing.
