Ugh - I just worked a couple of days this week at Xentel DM in Vancouver, BC, and feel like I will need 3 showers a day to get rid of the dirty feeling! To begin with the work environment itself is pretty disgusting and the training is negligent at best...our work stations were a bunch of old cubicals with ratty chairs, computer equipment that looked like it had been thrown away, and phone connectors that didn't even work properly. Shamefully, I worked at Xentel for a year and a half, and I can honestly say that job is the most immoral thing I've ever done in my life. First of all, to comment on the review titled "Xentel Is Great"... this article was clearly written by Judy B or another of the managers at Xentel. You may tell yourself that to make you feel better about the scam your involved in and routinely train others to perform, but the truth is, Xentel is stealing. I worked at Xentel for a year and a half. I was the one that called you askiing for your credit card by phone. for the first 6 mo even I thought it was legit but then slowly but surely I started recognizing that it was just a huge scam. I would make just as much money then the actual fundraiser did. 5-7 & of what you donate but xentel takes most of it while leaving employees with no heater or ac that place was awful!

Xentel's 800 # brigade has called me 10 times in the last month (including Sunday and after 9 p.m.). They usually aren't even there if I pick up. They've tried to convince me that I've pledged money to a local police-affiliated group. Wrong! Xentel has been sued by several states for fraudulent charity fundraising (misleading the people they call & not filing forms w/ the state on time or correctly). I was called bythis company saying they were rasining funds for my local Police athletic League in New Jersey. I told them that I donate to the DARE program and the local PBA, and the caller had the audacity to tell me that donating to such causes is "Bribery" of police officers and that I could be arrested for this, though most of the community has been donating for years.
