Xcel is remotely controlling the use of our AC. It was hot and sticky in our house with a pregnant wife and two five year olds that couldn’t even cover up at night because it was too hot and sticky. They are not letting us control the usage in our own home. I’m very disappointed with their control overreach.
I’m extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received from Xcel Energy. On May 17, 2024, I called to request a change of address and to stop service at my old residence: I provided proof of my call and clearly gave my new address: Despite this, I was charged for both addresses for an entire year. Had a tree fall on a power line from a storm, took them 24 hours to come and do something about it. When they did finally come to cut the tree, they also ripped a cable or some kind of line off the top of our roof and just left it hanging in the yard. No one came to the door to let me know; they just left. I called to ask if it were something they would come back and fix, and I was told no, that even if they did knock it down, if it's a cable line, I have to talk to that provider to get it fixed.
