I arrived at Wyong Hosp ED this morning at 8.45 and got home after 6pm. Yes, it was a long day but there were alot more urgent patients than me. Almost everyone I dealt with were great, but MAJOR KUDOS to the 2 ladies working with the people waiting in ED. I'm unsure of the morning lady's name, but she was joined by NOLA in the afternoon. On the 31/6 I brought my darling wife to emergency at Wyong hospital. From the moment I walked in and spoke to admin informing them she had pancreatic cancer the service was extraordinary. When the nurse who later became known to us as Lara started supporting her, including the fantastic doctor who was simply full of empathy and compassion. Avoid this hospital if you have more complex issues. I went twice this week due to being extremely unwell after a viral infection kept returning and returning just to be sent away with antibiotics that don’t do anything and told to go back to the gp. This particular visit I had a bad fever and obviously felt poorly enough after 3 weeks of being sick to be in the emergency department. The nurse at reception gave me medication for my fever to go down and I then waited a couple hours to be seen, which i’m ok with. What i’m not ... read more
Not the best hospital around, actually is the only one. But, need to give more drugs and heavier doses rather than being so micromanaged, because we need to feel better.
The staff here are amazing. They saved my life 16 months ago with a special call out to Jaque .. I owe these people my life. A great team of dedicated, caring and wonderful people, thanks you to the team.
