The tour was great. The history of the prison and some of the inmates was interesting. If you are ever in the area, it's definitely worth your time.
This stop is awesome for folks who love history or dig "dark tourism." They have a small, free museum, but the hour-long tour through the prison offers a look at life in the slammer from 1901 to 1981, rich with stories. They do a number of paranormal events throughout the year, too, but I haven't attended those yet. If you need to get off the road for awhile, I recommend stopping in Rawlins and hitting up this tour!
Young man (can't remember his name)that gave us a tour was very nice and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend visiting this place if you're coming through!
