Very cool tour! Our guide was very nice and talked about some stories around the prison.
Been to both Alcatraz and Wyoming Frontier Prison (WFP). Both are cold, dank and smelly, but WFP oddly had character. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour which also included being able to walk into the gas chamber used and the gallows. Very cool. Highly recommended!!

I'd give 6 stars if I could. I'd stopped in Rawlins to break up a 300 mile stretch of a 6 state road trip and had been intrigued by a prison museum. I'd previously visited Alcatraz, which had been amazing, but did not expect my Wyoming Frontier Prison Museum tour to come close to that extraordinary experience. It did. The most interesting, unexpected, evocative, educational and simply wonderful hour i have spent in a museum. Ever. A great place to visit, but make sure you time it for the tour.
