We traveled all the way from Casper to go to the prison we got there a few minutes before 4:00. As you can see on Google that you're supposed to close at 5:00. The lady at the gate let me know in no uncertain terms that she was in charge of the website and it was very clear that it closed at 4:00. Needless to say it was a wasted trip for something I really wanted to see. update your stuff prison people
Really historic, great tour, visit the gift shop. I had never thought visit an old prison would be much fun, but I was very wrong! We got to visit about 80% on the areas and it was very well presented by a young man (Charles) who is maybe 20? He knew his stuff! Very fascinating site. Well worth the small tour fee!
Their Google listing said it was open, so I drove my RV out of the way to visit. Got there and it was closed. Now that I’ve read other one star reviews, this doesn’t seem uncommon. Hopefully they’ll get their act together and update their Google listing and their website for hours.
Awesome place to visit if you’re passing through. Young men that were working were very polite and courteous. Tour guide was very informative and the experience was awesome!
