I'm very disappointed with this shot. I got a 454 Big Block Chev, fully reconditioned, new pistons, rings, bearings. Used my heads, which were brand new. They recommended to machine them so I let them do that. I put a new cam and lifters, complete rebuild. Basic 454 engine I could do myself but I thought I'll pay for the professionals to make sure it's right. They stuffed up the timing. Pat and the guys at Wynnum Engine Reconditioning took the time and effort to show a group from my club, the Jaguar Drivers Club of Queensland, around his well-equipped workshop. The dedication of the staff to their trade and their knowledge of engines was superb. Their range of specialist machines allows them to undertake almost any engine or head reconditioning work. I would thoroughly recommend WER if you need any engine reconditioning work done.

This place was really amazing. They had given the club a tour of their workshop, which I believe is a big part of the history of the car industry in Australia. They informed us that there is only a handful of specialised procedures they can’t yet do, but they are always wanting to better themselves.
