My mother’s flight was delayed due to weather and hotel’s management wouldn’t allow me to check into our room. Instead, management gave us a 1-800 number to change the reservation so I could check in. However, corporate said it was too late.
I stayed at Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza, called the Avenue Plaza by locals, for a 3 day stay. It is located on St. Charles Avenue, steps away from the Street Car stop. The room was a 1 bedroom, very clean and updated nicely. The staff of mostly women, especially Jasmine and J, were very friendly and helpful. J laid out an extensive map of sites and Jasmine booked the sites for us. With the map we were able to get around on the Street Car with ease.
