I've been using these type of self-service bay washes for a few years when I lived in Utah, and most of the time I can get my truck washed for around $5.50 - $5.75 (sometimes less). I do the same procedure every time: rinse the truck off completely, then use the soapy brush over the entire truck, then use the high pressure rinse to remove all the soap. I started with 4$ which I thought I was reasonable! Until I realised it was only 4 minutes and I kind of panicked never done a manual car wash before and tried to do as much as can and just left my car covered in soap as after the times up you don't get time to just rinse what you've got left you've just gotta cough up more money. I had used my quarters which was no big deal so I swipe my card and it charges me 10$? The car wash I normally use had a sign that it was closed, so I remembered there was another car wash nearby. I hadn't used it in years, as before you needed to get the tires lined up just right to go through it. I have a feeling it is under new ownership, since I was there 20 years ago; it was very different from what I remembered. It is very clean, and the equipment looked new.
