Nothing more you could ask for in a restaurant. Prices are very reasonable—if not underpriced—paired with exceptional service and a creative, well-thought-out menu. The Hedgehog roll is one of the best I’ve ever had. The truffle oil adds depth and complexity, while the shrimp tempura brings crunch, perfectly balanced by a touch of sweetness from the crab.

First… the damned name is cool! Wrench and Rodent, fantastic. Second… Holy Smokes, The Hedgehog, just put it in your face and you’ll know. A very unique take on sushi and it works!!!! Thanks for existing!

I'll start this off with the easy way out of an AI or chat GPT review was not taken and would be easier, but I'm taking time away from my kids and family to share my experience in hopes others will read it and enjoy the experience of Wrench and Rodent. This place has the best sushi in north county San Diego that I’ve ever had. I did omakase and was not disappointed. Every dish was better than the last. I lost count of how many dishes were brought for us to try. The ceviche was creative and I loved the little pieces of apple in it. The yellowtail was beautifully done and I loved the local heirloom tomatoes they added to the plate. The cauliflower was creative and had the best flavor.
