Brought pants in for a straightforward shortening on the Upper East Side. They came back so short they look like high-waters. When I pointed this out, the tailor told me to use the clips women wear with lingerie to pull the pants down. That is an open admission the job is ruined: there is no fabric left to let the hem out, and any attempt to correct it would leave an obvious, unprofessional seam. Wo’s is so amazing I can’t even think of all reasons to show how good they are. They really take tailoring seriously. I’ve been to some places that are sloppy and just hack jobs. Not at Wo’s. The quality and service standards are top notch. And importantly, they take your situation seriously. Need it urgently? They’ll work with you. An example recently, they asked when I needed it.
