It was such a pleasure seeing some really distant and relatively near space features alike through the very high quality telescope here. Our guide Grant was highly knowledgeable and had a lovely sense of humor and taste.
Make time for this! Unique and FREE! They used their iPad to pull up visuals of our solar system and used a laser to point to stars in the sky while waiting for telescope. He would then tell us it will take 72 hours for that light laser to reach that planet. Very cool! Saw Saturn!
I am an avid astro photographer so I understand the relevence and quality and professionalisum of the interaction with the Worthy Hopservatory. Grant Tandy is an excellent asset to this facility. His breath and depth of knowledge, coupled with his inate ability to communicate complex concepts into easy understandable terms was immediatly apparent.
