The staff makes this place unbearable. I’ve been an owner for 20 years and I have never encountered such unhappy and miserable staff at the front desk. No smile, no friendly greeting at check in, downright rude if I’m being honest and it was obvious they were annoyed they had to help customers. I was told to provide ID which was taken and given back without a word. There was no mention of checkout, parking, amenities or wifi. Spent a week relaxing and sight seeing... Bouchart Gardens, Victoria, Racehorse Falls, Lyndon (one of the most beautiful and quaint cities we've found in all of our travels), and Noonsack Falls. Room was large and included a washer and dryer! Resort was quiet and across the road from the Birch Bay. Sand dollars were everywhere when the tide was out. Coffee shop on the lower level was handy, reasonable, lots of drink and food options and owned by the most cordial family. Many other food options within walking distance.

The resort is very nice. It is right across the street from Birch Bay. Most rooms don't overlook the Bay, but there are nice views from the deck on the top. Our room had a mountain view--it is a nice view, but Mt. Baker is blocked by a tree. The rooms are fairly large. There is coffee in the lobby in the morning, but it would be nice to have coffee in the evening. We would have liked a bigger frying pan or an electric skillet, but these items were not available.
