While visiting the memorial is very touching, the museum itself has very few moments really worthing the $24 ticket or the line for tuesday free admission.
Do not rush through this. It will take an hour, two, maybe more for the museum. There is a lot of impact. Be ready for it. Kids should understand and be ready to take some time to explain.
