The two massive fountains that stand where the twin towers once did represent tears.
Great monument for a terrible event. It honored the victims and gave an honest look at the events of that day.

This is an emotional place to be. You should go at least once -- everyone should. An important note: if you come here, please DO NOT take selfies in front of the memorials. Thousands died here.
Mandatory for anyone who lives in or visits the area. Incredibly moving. Save time getting inside by purchasing tickets in advance at a kiosk (there are a couple tucked away).
Well, well done. Signage is very thorough. Many images in the historic section deeply disturbing.
