Still a wonderful generational pit stop on an otherwise long road trip. Don't get me wrong. Property does need maintenance and a bit of facelift. I still encourage people to make a stop here. I spoke with the owner. They're open more on summer seasonal schedules and the mean access through the tree is no longer accessible because the tree is still growing and they don't want to carve away at it just for the door.
Oldest and biggest tree we've found yet. 4000 years old
The tree is open from Memorial Day weekend through to October, but there was a nice lady who saw we had stopped and let us have a look inside. Quite amazing! The tree is still growing and looks very healthy.
