My mom suffered with Alzheimer’s, but she and I both found joy in our sessions with Annalise AND my mom even re-learned how to read for a while, something I thought impossible. It turned out that what I understood of my mother’s dark future could be improved, and would be, by Annalise’s intervention. My mom, despite her aphasia, was able to communicate far longer than was hoped which vastly improved her quality of life. I am truly, forever and a day, in Annalise’s debt.
Annalise is incredible, she loves what she does, she is a natural at it and it shows up in her sessions. She showed up to every session with passion, curiosity, and care. Each session was filled with new speech techniques that I was excited to use. I feel more confident in my speech, and the way I have started showing up in the world. Her expertise and encouraging words truly helped me get my voice back. 10/10 recommend, and if you landed on her page, definitely set up an appointment!
It only took one session with Annalise for me to realize that I had discovered a hidden gem. Her knowledge of speech, the voice and even the mind, all come together as she works her magic. Annalise is a wonderful speech therapist. I suffer from facial palsy and Annalise was able not only to help work on the speech issues & the palsy movement, but she understood the importance of the emotional/physiological component as well. In other words, not only is she professional and knowledgable and full of expertise, she is engaged, tuned in, and kind. Oh and also totally fun! Annalise was the best therapist we ever had for my husband’s aphasia. He was always happy to see her (as was I) because she made it fun and customized. He loved art, and Annalise would use art examples to help him speak. Annalise is professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and kind. She goes above and beyond - even helping me decide on a rehab facility for him based on her expertise and network of other therapists.
