The gluten free pumpkin cream cheese bar was exceptional. Perfectly paired with their European black coffee. Then to find out it was gluten free! The culinary delights did not compare to the genuine conversation we had with Linda and Shelly. It was a picture postcard date at the cafe. We will be back.
Me and my wife came in and were outstanded by the seen and smell of good food. We where greated with hospitality and respect. The smell of coffee is tantalizing mixed with the smell of sweets. I tried a rose macaroon and was taken aback to France when I first had one. I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this shop. It has a very warm and welcoming feel, with tall ceilings that make the space feel open and airy. When I first arrived it was quite busy, filled with families laughing and enjoying their time together, which created a lively and friendly environment. Cutest, sunniest little bake shop in downtown CDA. Makena made me the most perfect coffee. Lovely people and amazing baked goods.
