Nice country pub and hotel. Room was large with good amenities, bed was new and good quality. Rates are very reasonable for what you get - excellent value. Large bar/restaurant areas; there's a "front bar" for the sports fans with big screen TV broadcasting, and and outdoor verandah in this area also. Lovely meal, quick service.
Stared here as a stopover on a road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne. Enjoyed our stay and the food here. Accomadation was simple but clean and comfortable. The food was good too. There’s a great bakery/cafe close by which served us well in the morning too. All in all, a great stopover point for us.
Sadly, I couldn’t eat my meal at all I ordered the creamy garlic prawns and the sauce was so thick and gluggy. It honestly tasted like they were trying to make a roux, but it had no flavour whatsoever — I couldn’t taste even a hint of garlic. The prawns themselves looked like they’d just been boiled and thrown in, with no colour or flavour. the worst wifi I've experienced in 10 years. From the room the connection was about 3 bars - got worse in the evening - and the speed left me think I was on dial up. Just try to open this review page took 40+ seconds. Reception is also pouring beers so don't try to check in during happy hour. Oh and they also lost our meal order. When the food arrived it was quite good pub food.
