Best driving range in the metro area to practice golf Went to Woody's for the first time today. Hit a jumbo bucket of balls @120 for $12. Woody has all the things l want in a driving range to practice golfing. They are as follow: * Distance marker - not flags but signs with number of yards indicated. * Targets that you can try to hit - like trying to land your ball on the green * Level Range - many driving ranges have you hit down a ravine - that doesn't replicate a fairway. poor driving range, passable mini golf The driving range is horrible. Poor balls and matts. There is a grass area but they charge double for it and it isn't very good. you can't see your ball on most of the landing area. Their minigolf is rated high by newsweek, but its mostly for the theatrics (which are great). the putts are simple, there are many far more challenging minigolf courses around.
DON'T HAVE A BIRTHDAY HERE!! I had my kid's birthday party at Woody's miniature golf and one of the kids was struck on the head by a ball from the driving range. His injury was SERIOUS!!!
Fun Stuff It is always a good time when we go to Woody's. My family enjoys the driving range and the putt putt course. Always clean, organized and very reasonable priced. Definately a fun time!!!
Peril's of the Lost Jungle--NOT for Young Children! The miniature golf range at Woody's is a great adventure for older children, but not for young ones. Our daughters (ages 4 and 6 at the time) were thrilled to go and play miniature golf. We couldn't make it past the first hole. Alligators snap their mouths, fog is blown around, and creepy sounds play around you. We received a rain check when we left, but it will be a few years until our children will be old enough to make it through the range!
