If you were coming of age in the 90s or early 00s and think this venue is a replacement for the original Southgate house that hosted so many great independent artists/band, you're going to be disappointed. Between this place and the southgate house revival venue there is maybe a handful of worthwhile shows each year. Im not sure if the corporitized venues on both sides of the river stold most of the noteworthy acts or if the booking is just bad. Its a great historic venue though.
Nice venue, feels intimate (not too big). Seating upstairs had great view of stage.
Great staff. Pretty good acoustics. Clean venue w reasonable prices.
