I had a wonderful experience at UPMC Woodward Associates today for my wellwoman exam with Dr. O’Hara and Christina, the medical associate. I love the providers at this location, but the office staff needs to figure out a better scheduling system. I have been told to call “next month” every month since Jan to get my annual scheduled. I think at this point they should call me when something is available since I have had to call so many times. I just think it’s poor customer service. They said I could get the portal, but that thing is confusing, and it doesn’t always work correctly. What happened to the days of good customer service?!?
I had such a wonderful first visit with Rachel Carmela Marrero, CRNP! She was so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely took the time to get to know me and my family. She carefully walked through my medical history and charts, explaining everything thoroughly along the way. I picked Woodward for my pregnancy care because of the positive reviews I saw and I have to say I had a terrible experience and would not come here again. If you are planning on following all doctor recommendations and don't have a strong opinion on your own care or birth plan, this place would be fine. However, I had a specific idea of what I wanted and my concerns were not addressed and my wishes were not accommodated whatsoever.
