I purchased 2 inserts and two stoves from this outfit over the last 15 years. My loyalty was so strong that I purchased one of those stoves for my camp in Maine, carted it up there and installed it rather than purchase it there. I went to them in January 2015 to purchase my 3rd insert, a gas unit, costing $4,700. Installer came to the house, snow everywhere, measured, left. Purchased a wood stove insert in 2008 & had it installed by Woodstove & fireplace The workmen arrived on time, installed it quickly & best of all dring the installation, I could hear the 2 workmen calling out ,thats perfect, very good and many other sayings indicating that they weren;t trying to install the insert quickly, they were installing it correctly. I was then given a very nice presentation about our new stove. If I had to do it all over again I would not hesitate in choosing this Co again. Absolulely no problems
Unreliable and Poor Customer Service We have had 2 bad experiences with this company. 1. It was discovered 10 years after the fact that our B vent insert was improperly vented. This was discovered by their installer while installing a 2nd insert bought from them. The owner refused to fix the problem and accused us of tampering with the venting. 2. The 2nd insert's remote does not work correctly. It freezes when on automatic. Therefore, we cannot use the thermostat. We have called about this and received no return call. I wou... read more
terrible service terrible customer service..after i bought all of the overpriced venting pieces..i asked if someone could come to my house to install the vent.they said no prob we r backed up ..when ya ready call us...i called a few weeks ago they said they would call back and rudely hung up..i called again this week and was told we wont hook it up and you should call a plumber...never would tell anyone about this poor service..
Be carefull if you leave a deposit there is no refund not even a store credit if you have to cancel your stove order no matter what the reason is.
