History Established in 1970. This wonderful rustic lodge will meet every comfort level you can think of. Crackling fire places, warm and friendly staff, and hot, large home-cooked breakfast & dinner. We have a private bar for our guests, two outdoor Jacuzzis, Sauna, Games and TV room, pool table, large indoor and outdoor lounge areas with terrific views. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The lodge is warm and cozy and made me feel right at home. My favorite part was how convenient everything was. We woke up in the morning before skiing and hiking and there was an amazing breakfast made on the table for us. Dinner was FANTASTIC! The first night we were there we had soup, salad, bread, steak, and two sides and to top it off DELICIOUS dessert. I love this place so much! This is the best of what ski vacations can be. Ample room to meet and hang out with people, excellent food (who wants to cook after skiing?) prepared and served family style, and comfortable lodging. Our family started coming to the Woodspur over 30 years and my Swiss grandfather often mused about how this place reminded him of European ski lodges. I love this lodge. The food is terrific; the decor is comfortable, and you feel like family when you are here. It's the low-tech experience I look for when relaxing.
