I had to make a decision for my Mom, who had Alzheimer's at the beginning of the pandemic 4 years ago. I had to choose a long term care home based on very little information, no tours, no meeting of any kind, just pamphlets that I had collected. It was an urgent/emergency situation and I was given a "take it or leave it" option from the CCAC. Mom has been living at Woods Park for a couple of months on the Assisted Living floor. She is very well cared for and is adjusting to this change in her independence well. The staff are all very compassionate, experienced and very friendly. The residents are also quite lovely. I feel very fortunate that we were lucky enough to move mom in, on short notice. I would live there!
