I have never used the service but I have a roommate that uses it daily I am wondering if it is legal for woods to be bringing him to a package store daily. I thought the service was for to get doctor's appointments or go get food important stuff. My roommate almost died a few months ago because of alcohol he has cirrhosis of the liver and doesn't have much time to live didn't think he would come out of the hospital but he did make it out of there He's now drinking again daily a court of whiskey he was told he would die in a ... read more
I should have written this review months ago, but didn't, so I will do it now. I used the service of Woods Ambulance when I was discharged from the hospital after my hip replacement surgery, and being a large woman,I was more than a little nervous about how they were going to get me up my front stairs, especially the top step which has a higher rise than the standard step. Almost $2000 to go 1 mile from my house with absolutely terrible service. The EMT I had took 5 different tries to set an IV in my arm, causing me to vomit. Not only that but I was informed by a nurse at the hospital that I was given a 12 gauge needle which was completely unnecessary. Sitting outside of my house getting stabbed with a needle for 20 minutes after having a seizure, is not what I would call professional service. Good service
Their new Swift Ride program where you pay a flat rate ($10.00) within Gardner for one way trips was a lifesaver for us when we needed to get to the hospital for a day surgery. They're fast, courteous, and completely understanding! I definitely recommend their new taxi style service.
