I visited Woodmoor Family Dentistry to get a second opinion on a filling my previous dentist claimed needed to be replaced for almost $500, and I was concerned that it wasn't necessary based on the images I was shown due some familiarity with interpreting x-rays. After getting a set of x-rays and an exam, Dr. Dethloff confirmed my suspicions, and said it was best to leave as is. Dr. D is the best! I have HORRIBLE dental anxiety, and he is the only dentist who doesn’t send me into an absolute panic. He is friendly, gentle, and makes sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. I called for a last minute appointment on a Monday (after having an unexpected problem with one of my teeth on Sunday night) and not only were they able to get me in the very next morning, I was fixed up and on my way in under an hour. I came to Woodmoor Family Dentistry from Monument Dentists and Orthodontists for a second opinion, and I’m so glad I did. Dr. Dethloff is fantastic. Dr. Andrew Dethloff is a patient, caring, understanding, gentle and compassionate dentist. I have a connective tissue disorder so numbing is REALLY hard for my body to deal with. I was going to dentist after dentist trying to find someone who would listen to me explain my body and how it works. They all dismissed me. The absolute best dentistry I've ever experienced. Andrew and his entire staff have been extremely patient with me, being I have high anxiety coming into the dentist office. I would highly recommend having him work on your root canal if you need one. I could see how precise he is, and I prefer that he's a perfectionist when it comes to this procedure.
