I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE ENTER INTO BUSINESS WITH WOODMEN LIFE!! Woodmen Life is not really interested in you, but only in selling you a product. If you have annuities with Woodmen Life, I strongly recommend you find another competent financial adviser and transfer all your monies there. If not, your family will go thru “heck” trying to collect when you pass, unless of course, they purchase Woodmen Life annuities with your account(s). Rip off. Don’t waste your money. Canceled my policy over a year and a half ago. New it had cash value in it which they should have refunded. Called customer service they advised me there was no cash value. ( 3 policies) started getting bills in the mail talking about I owe them money??? Finally get a call back and was advised oh your policy is still active it’s running off the cash value? But u just told me there was no cash value. I will never ever get anything with woodmen life. I’ve been a policy holder for several years. I've known them to pay any claims and also they have great rates. Great member benefits.

My grandmother passed in Feb of 2022 and we have had to jump through a ridiculous amount of hoops to get the inheritance she left for us. I've been told numerous times that they can't give me information for my own MINOR children. I finally received checks but now nowhere will cash the ones for my children because they are UTMA. This company is a complete joke.

When my father passed in 2010, instead of giving my mom the $ due per the certificate 2 WOW agents talked her into taking out another policy for a death benefit which was set up to be paid out of the $ from my dad's policy. My mom already had a policy-certificate with a death benefit! She didn't need two. We didn't find out until the $ was gone & they sent notice she owed 2 months pay. I have sent 3 letters to WOW & the State Insurance Commissioner. WOW has yet to reply!

Woodmen of the World agent sold my mother a $5000 policy that was to become $10,000 upon her death. Recently the policy lapsed and the agent said my mom owed money. At this time she has invested a total of $9,449. It should have already been stopped, but she "teusted" the agent to take care of her. I've called and sent emails to no avail. Dont do business here. Wish I could warn ALL elderly people.

I had recently called them to update my contact info and here is what took place. They wanted me to send my drivers license so I did, I called to make sure it was received and they said yes. I then also gave them my new contact details regarding my name and physical mailing address. They owe me money so this is important that they *update* and make the *correct* info updates. They sent a snail mail piece and my info address + name were still *incorrect* so I called them again to get this corrected and this is my *FOURTH time... read more

It has been a month after the claim has been created to receive my benefit check. Their excuse they provided is their claims department is back up. I requested and paid for an overnight ***** after waiting 21 days and it still has not been sent. This company is unbelievable.

Woodmen should be ashamed of the way the do business. They take months to process 1035 exchanges from their company to another. Even after multiple attempts, they will find some reason the request cannot be processed, and prolong the process even more just to get premiums from you. *********************************, you think they would be a little more compassionate with the customer's requests but NOPE! I would NEVER recommend doing business with them of ANY kind.
