I have had dr woodman as a child for therapy. He left a long lasting impression on me. He showed me what integrity was and what I lacked in character. Yes dr. Woodman now 42 and am forever grateful in the impact you made on my life! I remember you always buying corollas and Christmas present swaps. You changed my life and I am honored to have worked with you
Woodman is highly unprofessional and one sided, and further created a divide with me and my child and caused additional trauma to both of us. He did absolutely nothing to help my child heal or bring any sort of therapeutic guidance to the situation. Since refusing to no longer send my child there, our relationship has healed and flourished. He creates drama and doesn’t listen. Avoid this man at all cost. Additionally, His office is circa 1970. He does not know what any therapeutic processes are and is not current in therapeu... read more
Not recommended at all! He was vague and completely unhelpful. He didn't provide any advice or therapy. He didn't explain anything and actually avoided questions. He was chose by Williamson County Juvenile Court in a custody case but he should not be used by anyone for any reason, especially when the wellbeing of a child is involved.
Dr Woodman was a great help to our family. I would recommend him highly.
I would read a lot of these reviews with a grain of salt (court is messy y'all). I have spoken to Dr. Woodman with advice on handling different sticky matters on different occasions. He has provided me with very thoughtful recommendations and insight. He is very kind and honest and has been in his field for a long time.
In my experience, Dr. Woodman is unprofessional, negligent and unethical in his practice. He lives up to his reputation as a "hired hand". He has damaged our family unit in ways that will take years to heal. In fact, his interference will likely have a lifelong impact that may never be undone. If you truly want healing within your family, do not work with this man. Alternatively, if your goal is to screw your ex or achieve parental alienation, he might be your guy.
Beware! Dr. Woodman is known in Nashville as a “hired gun” for affluent parents trying to win in custody battles. He believes in the parental alienation theory which is commonly utilized by abusive men in divorce/custody issues. My ex used him in his third attempt to gain custody of my children. Dr. Woodman ignored the assessment/findings of other well respected health care professionals in Nashville that clearly demonstrated domestic violence. My ex committed suicide during the process.
Terrible experience with this psychologist, and I have seen many caring and competent counselors. Would not recommend under any circumstance.
