Our mom moved here to be closer to us than the superior facility she left. Many staff members were good and tried hard, but when Woodland was sold to Kisco the manager was replaced by a corporate suit wannabe. I do not think he knew anything about elder care, as many of the things he communicated were truly nonsense.Simple requests for help were met with eviction threats, and my family did not feel comfortable visiting because of one of the busybody night clerk's behavior. ONE thing to note - the AVERAGE AGE ii Independent living is 85. The activities staff is excellent, lots of activities and the grounds are beautiful. And the residents are marvelous, supportive, friendly and delightful. BUT the food is mediocre and often mistakes are made in orders. Tonight I ordered an entree salad with feta cheese and was served an entree salad with goat cheese. I am violently allergic to goat cheese, and vomit violently from the tiniest amount. A Fine Retirement Community My father lived in the Woodland Terrace complex for approximately six years. It was a fine place for him, with pleasant surroundings, caring people and lots of activities, such as concerts, dinners out at restaurants and shopping trips, to name a few. There were also in-house offerings, such as holiday parties, happy hour, religious services, etc. He made many dear, dear friends there among the staff and among the residents, his contemporaries. Luxurous Care for Elderly People My great-aunt lives in the Woodlad Terrace community, and they live in paradise! Their rooms are like small homes, which consist of a ktichen with all the appliances, a living room, and a bed room. The large dining room in which they eat are served by waiters and waittresses, with dishes made by great chefs. There is also the convenience to a small pond with a paved trail that goes around it.
