Just came back from a quilting retreat here. Everything was great: the hostess (Chris Daly), the studio rooms, the sleeping room, and particularly the food. The teacher Susan Hoffman was great. A lot of knowledge and very patient with so many people demanding her attention.
Great, relaxing experience with my quilting friends. Set in a perfect backdrop of many flower beds, colorful birds and lush woods. Lovely views out of the many large windows. It's as though each window frames a beautiful picture of nature!
Chris Daly has created a warm inviting place to relax and express your creativity. All aspects of the center itself are 1st class. Meals are carefully crafted, plentiful and delicious. There are workshops with nationally known instructors and with a limit of 12 per class, there is time for individual attention as needed. I've attended two five days workshops and love Woodland Ridge so much I've organized a mid-winter retreat for ten friends.
2 sewing rooms, awesome table and chairs. Great set up, Chris was on hand if you needed anything.
Beautiful retreat center, clean, well lighted, peaceful. Chris Daly, the owner, is very kind and helpful. Quiet country setting but near enough to other larger cities to explore shopping and restaurants. I will definitely be back.
Spent a wonderful week at a quilt retreat. The facility is so comfortable. The lighting in the work room was great and the work chairs/tables were adjustable and added to my comfort. The beds were comfortable, the rooms spacious (and beautifully decorated) and the bath room with walk in shower, large sink, and jacuzzi tub were wonderful. The grounds and views from the rooms were beautiful. Host and owner, Chris, saw to our needs and was very attentive. Can't wait for the next retreat.
