Overall, I think it is a top choice of renting in Lansing, MI. The maintenance is fast and responsible. The office is professional at most times. With the same price, it has the newest apt and appliances and central AC for you in Lansing. However, the price increase for every renewal is insane. I have talked to several units I know in this community; all of them face at least a 130-buck/month increase of rent of renewal. This place is great!!
I recently lived at Woodland Lake Apartments in 2025 due to life changes, and I want to leave an honest review based on my experience. The biggest issue is that the apartments feel extremely outdated for the price. Rent has increased significantly, yet the only noticeable update was replacing carpet with vinyl flooring. Beyond that, many things still feel old and neglected, and the condition of the apartments does not seem to match the cost. The community itself has also changed. I had been in the market for apartments and I was starting to get overwhelmed. I just hadn’t found the one that met all my requirements. Then I found Woodland Lakes! I knew right then that was my home. Not only are the grounds pristine, but the office staff, Jim and Elise, were so friendly and helpful! I already know I’m gonna love it here!
